A fun time was had by all who attended St Tudy Pre School’s annual Halloween Party. The all day party was attended by more than 150 people and they managed to raise £1004.50 for the Pre School. The children were entertained this year by a disco, party games, nail painting, best dressed fancy dress, slime pits, face painting, glitter tattoo and arts and crafts.

The Pre School were absolutely delighted with how well the day went, and we would like to thank all the local businesses who supported us.

St. Tudy Pre School has become such a busy pre school in recent months that we now have a wait list of children wanting to join. We are striving for the very best in early years learning and now have 25 very contented happy children that attend.

Stay and Play

This week's Stay and Play will be held at Chapel Amble Play Barn at 11:30am, Thursday 4th September! Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Fun Day 14

Ten Tors

Some of the mums / staff of St Tudy Preschool are taking part in the Cornwall Lions Ten Tors on Sunday 18th May.  We will be walking 13 miles across the moors to raise money for the preschool and for the pregnancy charity Tommy’s.

The preschool will be using the money raised to help provide and update our equipment and services.  Although we pride ourselves on providing the best service for the children, to do this we need to be getting financial input through our fundraising.

Tommy’s is a charity dedicated to funding research into stillbirth, premature birth and miscarriages.  Also, providing information for parents-to-be.  It is a charity that is held very close to the heart of one particular member of our preschool, Vicky Fraser.

“Tommy’s is a charity which means a lot to me. I lost my son, Samuel, three years ago, he was stillborn at full-term. Sadly, over 4,000 babies are stillborn every year in the UK and many are unexplained, as was mine. However, Tommy’s research indicates that stillbirths may occur because the fetus suffers restricted growth due to blood flow problems between mother and baby. A number of Tommy’s scientists are working hard to develop a reliable test to identify those women at most risk, so that they can receive targeted treatment. Rates of stillbirth in the UK are amongst the highest in resource-rich countries, which is staggering! I will be walking this year’s Ten Tors and raising money in memory of my son, Samuel.”

It’s not too late to sponsor us, to do so please contact Gill Kirkwood on 07581 436434, or use the link provided to donate online.

Many thanks for your support.

Wish us luck!!
